Hotwalls single "Conquer Din" just received Honorable Mention in Billboard's 17th World Song Contest.
"Early Brendan Benson meets early Mood Elevator. We dig!" - Eve Doster, Metro Times
"...jangling, melodic pop punk in a city wrought with ambitious indie, grimy pretense and post-psychedelia." RealDetroitWeekly.com
The Hotwalls are a Detroit/NYC-based band exhuming a frenzy of amplified pop, soul, punk, and roll. The songs are angular yet agile, with a tonal wallop and a flair for atmospherics. The Hotwalls’ 2009 release, Everybody Here, boasts verve and versatility. From the album’s opener, Conquer Din, to the mocking waltz of the title-track and aching beauty of Sarabot, the band has developed remarkably since their 2007 debut. The band is currently recording their forth release slated for early 2011.
