Turboweekend releases in Germany and UK in October, and tours with club rockers Who Made Who.
-After a summer of rave reviews from festival and club performances in Denmark, the time has come for Turboweekend to cross the borders and enter new territories.

Two 5 star reviews from major danish newspapers call their performance at Skanderborg festival 2009 the bands "breakthrough concert" and "the best performance of this years festival", which included some of the top Danish acts of past and present. The Politiken goes on to rave that tracks like 'Holiday, 'After Hours', and especially 'Sweet Jezebel' were some of the best delivered songs at this year's festival. Now Turboweekend is taking their talent out of Denmark and into Germany and the UK.

Turboweekend formed in Copenhagen in 2006, as a lovechild between the sexier underground rock, and the increasingly popular and diverse electronic club scene of Copenhagen. They signed their first deal with Copenhagen Records in 2007 and released their debut album ’Night Shift’ in Denmark that same October. An album which nominated the group for Best Act of The Year in the two biggest award shows in Denmark (P3 Gold and Zulu Awards), and which featured the single Into You, a ‘Can’t Miss Hit’ on Danish radio P3 the same week as the band performed on the Roskilde Festival's Pavillion Junior scene.

The second album, Ghost of A Chance, which is now coming out in Germany on Sony/BMG, was initially released in Denmark on Mermaid Records (Sony/BMG) in March 2009, and according to several reviews, the album presents a more focused songwriting and production than their debut, with roots and branches far beyond the rock/club sub culture from which the band initially grew, sounding less like a computer and more like a band in the classic sense of the word, or as VS magazine puts it "Elektro Stadion Rock" that "makes the Killers taste like a flacid burger with too much cheese and too little meat". And according to Olympia based blog It's A Trap, although the album is mainly centered on the the in's and out's of love, songs such as Colors, When I Erase Myself, and Up With The Smoke - Down With The Ash, show a much wider lyrical and thematical palette than your average Scandinavian romantics.

Remixes and Liveshows
The bands unique sound has also inspired remixes from the likes of Russell Lissack (Bloc Party), Martin Rushent (Human League), and Joker, and you might also have come across a love-step remix by 2000F & Jkamata, which has been making babies all over the dubstep scene ever since DJ Skream played it on his Rinse FM.

The fine reviews of recent concerts come as no big surprise to fans, as the quartet is renowned for their hardhitting and dynamic live shows. Emitting a powerful current of genre bending disco-rock, low-end indie pop, and electrical soul, the band has played for enthusiastic crowds at venues and festivals in Denmark, Sweden, Germany and the US for the past three years, and continue to make it worth the sweat and the hangovers.”
