Ronny Morris just received the award for Best Song in a TV show.

Ronny Morris first album “Sweet Silence” was mastered at The Cutting Room, Stockholm and is ready for distribution.
After two airplays on USA primetime national television in 2005, Ronny Morris spent one year entirely on songwriting and producing the album “Sweet silence” in Copenhagen, New York, Stockholm and Prague.
The result is a profound pop/ rock album that is rooted in musical tradition.

His potential to make a record like this has always been there, if in a very raw form when Ronny passionately started playing the drums at the age of 11, as a balance to the music boarding schools drill in alto sax. As a young master of his trade he looked for new forms of expression and at 16, grabbed a guitar and started writing his own songs. Influences come from his fathers record collection consisting of The Beatles, 10cc, Ten Years After, Pink Floyd, Electric Light Orchestra, Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie, Supertramp, Queen, Boston, Gerry Rafferty and Kate Bush.

1993 he joined his first band and spent the following 5 years playing gigs around Denmark and Sweden. Teaming with his co-writer Thomas Albjerg gave his work a new direction and the first demo as a solo artist in 2003 was aired on Danish national radio with “Lost my way”.
In 2005 Ronny Morris got airplay on two US TV shows: “The Ghost Whisperer” and “The One Tree Hill” (CBS Networks/ Warner Brothers).

Having his record spinning in the player now is the result of an incredible personal journey.
Ronny’s main career in media production ended in 2001, when a tumultuous year lifted him out of every previous stability – personally as well as professionally. Getting himself back into in upright position took almost 5 years, the courage to face fragility, insecurity and an enormous will to live.
His head back up in the fresh air and a new life in his pocket he decided to live each moment of it to the fullest – which meant not calling the old boss but letting go of the past and focusing on guitar, pen and paper instead.
He offers a picture of what has been on his mind during turbulent times on a private and societal front. Not all work from this period is found on the record but writing it was a necessity to form the album as it is.
The experience of recovery and years of work within the psychiatric field has intensified Ronny’s fascination for human potential and empowerment, which is retrieved in the simultaneity of reflective ness and positive dynamics of his lyrics.

In the last year Ronny Morris he has invested his time and exceptional talent entirely into producing this record. The search for only the best for his songs brought him to Producer Adam Kvinnan in Stockholm (Eagle Eye Cherry, Backyard Babies, Jewel), to Brian Sperber (3 doors down, Stained, Moby) in New York for the vocals and to Prague, where the strings a.o. for “Still, Windows and All about love” were recorded with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra.

“Sweet silence” simply gives listeners a reason to get excited about life and music all over again.
