Following on from 1999's hugely acclaimed 'The New Horror Guidelines,' Seattle's tHe drop have spent the latter part of 2001 working on their massive follow-up 'Iceland.' The trademark Drop neo-rock-noir intensity is clear, present and magnified in the guitar and vocal work, the imaginative bass/drum axis remains on fire, but new elements have found their way into The Drop's sound. 'Iceland' features samples, synthetic beats and string orchestrations amongst the organised guitar chaos. With the soaring/raging voice of Christopher McBride forefront in the mix, 'Iceland' is destined to win new converts to the Church of tHe drop.
